Getting offensive support from Shane Pendleton, the Bowie Baysox topped the Altoona Curve, 7-5. Pendleton was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Baysox. The loss puts Altoona at 8-3.

Bowie used a clutch at-bat from Edwin Morell to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Baysox ahead, 7-4. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Good, gritty kind of win," said Baysox manager Seth Dugas.
