The Midland RockHounds picked up a win at ONEOK Field, knocking off the Tulsa Drillers, 5-3. On the mound for Midland was right-hander Justin Byrd. He played a key role in the triumph. Byrd, now 1-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Bobby Wallace earned the save for Midland, his 2nd.
