|
Tulsa turned a fine outing from starter Jorge Cortez into a victory over the San Antonio Missions at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. The final score was 7-2. In 9 innings, Cortez surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. San Antonio falls to 2-3.
Doug Evans was 1 for 5. He drove in 2 runs for Tulsa. The 26-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Carlos Negrete. It was his 6th hit of the season.
