Hollifield Launches 2 Dingers, But Corpus Christi Wins
The Corpus Christi Hooks withstood a fine game by Tulsa right fielder Scott Hollifield at Whataburger Field, to upend the Drillers, 7-4. Hollifield hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Picking up the win was Manny Storm. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 7 and walked 0. Emanuele Delmonico closed out the game, earning his 3rd save.

Trent Clow had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Corpus Christi third baseman hit a run-scoring single. That put the Hooks in front, 4-3.

"We'll build on this win," said Clow.

The Hooks have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 12 games.
