San Antonio and Frisco got after it at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium.

The Missions grabbed a win, 5-2, at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Frisco pitcher Andy Nappi. Nappi went 6.2 innings and allowed 5 runs. San Antonio reliever Carlos Negrete picked up the win, while Andy Nappi took the loss for Frisco. Bryant Sprague picked up the save, his 1st.

The Missions got a big at-bat from second baseman Ron Jakob. For the game, Jakob was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave San Antonio a 3-2 lead.

Said losing manager Carlos Mercado: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."

The win leaves San Antonio with a record of 7-6.
