Frisco and San Antonio duked it out and the RoughRiders came out victorious.

The Frisco RoughRiders faced a tough opponent in San Antonio pitcher Francisco Ruelas, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium by a final score of 3-1. Ruelas went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Michael Gruber earned the win for Frisco. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 10 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 2-1.

Justin Howard had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth for Frisco. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Frisco in front, 3-1.

"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Howard.
