The Tulsa Drillers got production from their entire lineup in an easy 13-3 win over the Arkansas Travelers. Doing his part was first baseman Mike Saunders. Saunders, who is tied for 6th in the TEX in bases on balls with 10, went 2 for 2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Ralph Spiteri got the win, improving to 3-1. He worked 7 innings, giving up 2 runs on 11 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The win was the 15th in 18 games this season for the Drillers. It's a terrific start for a team that appears on course for a return trip to the playoffs.

In the top of the second of a scoreless game, Saunders hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.

"Sometimes the runs come in bunches," said Saunders after the game.
