Midland RockHounds starter Sean Kontos was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Frisco RoughRiders, 4-2. The save was credited to Robby Melena, his 1st. Midland goes to 6-14.

Midland used the clutch hitting of Matt Ludwig to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the RockHounds ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Winning is the only objective," said Ludwig after the game.
