The Frisco RoughRiders got a magnificent performance from pitcher Dan Pyne, who muffled the Midland offense en route to a tight 2-1 RoughRiders win at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. The winner in relief was Estêvão Ano. He is now 2-1. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. For the RockHounds, the loss makes them 7-14.

The knockout blow came in the bottom of the tenth inning. That's when center fielder Jesus Mena stepped to the plate with runners on 1st and 3rd and hit a run-scoring single, to win the ballgame.

"This place was jumping at the end," Mena said.
