Naturals Edge Travelers, 4-3

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals did just enough to sneak past the Arkansas Travelers, 4-3, at Arvest Ballpark. Northwest Arkansas pitcher Jonathan Polk, in particular, had a standout performance. Trystão Caparica got the save, the 1st for him this season. The Travelers drop to 9-12 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2110 season.
Jimmy Redman had a big 2-run double for the Naturals in the bottom of the first inning. With Northwest Arkansas leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Mark Clements and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Naturals ahead, 3-0.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Northwest Arkansas skipper Travis Brassard. "I can't complain."
