Missions Take Home 4-3 Win Over Corpus Christi
The San Antonio Missions downed the Corpus Christi Hooks, 4-3. The hitting star was right fielder Kevin Biron. Biron was 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Missions. The winner in relief was Glen Hagerman. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 4 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. Manny Gonzaba had a big 2-run home run for the Missions in the bottom of the fourth inning. With San Antonio leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Leonardo Reyna and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Missions on top, 3-0.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Gonzaba said.

The win puts San Antonio at 16-7.
