Kris Gilmore did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Frisco RoughRiders from being beaten, 6-5, to the San Antonio Missions at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Gilmore went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winner in relief was Hector Rangel. He is now 2-0. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. Ben Cooke came through with a big-time hit for San Antonio. The second baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said San Antonio manager Elijah Chalmers.
