RockHounds Deal San Antonio 2-1 Defeat
Midland got a strong outing from Ray Tschida as the RockHounds defeated the San Antonio Missions, 2-1, at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. Tschida got the win, improving to 1-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Chris Scumaci earned the save, his 2nd, for the RockHounds.

Midland used a well-timed hit by Colin Guard to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the RockHounds ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"When you have a good rhythm and good flow, it's nice to just go out there and pound the strike zone with confidence," said Tschida.

The last-place RockHounds own a record of 9-20.
