The Tulsa Drillers defeated the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 12-3, in Texas League action at Arvest Ballpark. Tulsa pitcher Bill Whitcomb had a standout performance. Tulsa reliever Bill Whitcomb got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Nate Dombrowski was tagged with the loss. The save went to Min-yul Kym, number 1 for him.

Tulsa used the bat of Johnny Schurman to capture the win. The catcher jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Drillers ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Schurman told the Tulsa Chronicle.

The win gives Tulsa a season record of 22-8.
