Bolton Lays Hammer Down in 2-1 Win
|
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals and Tulsa Drillers put on a pitchers' duel.
Javon Bolton never let the Drillers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Naturals to a win, 2-1. The Naturals have an impressive 20-12 record.
Bolton tossed 113 pitches over 8.2 innings to clinch the win for the Naturals. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits, while racking up 14 strikeouts in the game.
"Every loss stings," said Tulsa manager Vicente Gutierrez. "This one is no exception."
