Stinson Slugs 2 Home Runs, Missions Beat RoughRiders, 7-5
|
With second baseman Mark Stinson leading the charge, the San Antonio Missions defeated the Frisco RoughRiders, 7-5, at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Stinson, who is tied for 6th in the TEX in RBI with 20, slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The save was credited to Jacob Magaw, his 6th. The win elevated the Missions to 20-12.
Stinson had a timely hit for San Antonio in the top of the seventh. With Frisco trailing 4-2, he turned a full count curveball into a grand slam home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 6-4, San Antonio.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Stinson said after the game.
