Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Drillers
The Tulsa Drillers defeated the Springfield Cardinals in 10 innings, 9-7, in part because of shortstop Bob Porter. Porter went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Drillers. Tulsa pitcher Chris Sherwood got the win, upping his record to 3-0. Raul Delgado got the loss. The Drillers are now 23-12, while the Cardinals fall to 19-16.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the tenth. With Tulsa trailing 7-6, Porter jumped on a sinker from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Raul Delgado and hit a 3-run home run to right. With one swing, the Drillers had a walk-off win.

"The crowd was raucous," said Porter.
