RockHounds Turn Away Missions, 3-1

Both offenses were relatively subdued at Security Bank Ballpark. Fortunately for the Midland RockHounds, though, Aldo Bardi was able to deliver in the clutch. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, to lead his team past the San Antonio Missions, 3-1. Ernie Stokes earned the save for Midland, his 1st of the year. Midland is now 14-23, San Antonio 20-17.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Bardi hit a run-scoring single off Jose Perez. It propelled the RockHounds into the lead, 2-1.
"I'm not out here to win a beauty contest," said Bardi. "Obviously."
