The Midland RockHounds weathered an outstanding game by Frisco catcher Dallas Zancanella to topple the RoughRiders, 4-3. Zancanella went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The RockHounds raised their record to 16-28.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Midland catcher Kevin Hirst, facing Estêvão Ano, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the RockHounds the 4-3 win.

"I was a little disappointed," said Frisco manager Andy Fletcher. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
