Frisco designated hitter Mark Riggs had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Riggs went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, even as Tulsa beat the RoughRiders, 8-5. The Drillers raised their record to 34-12.

Luis Flores, the 32-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Flores contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Tulsa up, 2-0.

"This is truly a great team to play with," Flores said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
