Downward Spiral Continues for Corpus Christi
In a low-scoring game between the Springfield Cardinals and the Corpus Christi Hooks, pitcher Jesus Navarro was masterful on the mound. The Springfield right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. Paulino Aldana earned the save, his 8th, for the Cardinals. The losses continue to add up for Corpus Christi, having now dropped 8 straight.

The Cardinals got a big at-bat from second baseman Chad Hill. For the game, Hill went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Springfield a 2-0 lead.
