RoughRiders Pick Up 8-6 Win
The Frisco RoughRiders besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Arkansas second baseman Matt Rose by beating the Travelers, 8-6, at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Rose went 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. Frisco reliever Michael Hettwer picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Darius Brown was tagged with the loss. Frisco sits in third place in the South Division at 20-28.

The RoughRiders got a big hit from second baseman Justin Mathieu. In the bottom of the sixth, Mathieu smacked a bases-clearing double off Arkansas pitcher Darius Brown. It was his 1st double of the season. Suddenly, the RoughRiders were ahead, 8-6.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Mathieu.
