Drillers Get Close Win Over RockHounds, 4-3
The Tulsa Drillers topped the Midland RockHounds, 4-3, in Texas League action at ONEOK Field. The standout performance belonged to Tulsa pitcher and San Antonio, Texas, native Alexis Ortega. Chris Coverdale snagged the win in relief. In 2.1 innings, the left-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 1-0 on the season. Tulsa has a record of 34-16, placing them first in the North Division.

Tulsa took a 4-3 lead on Blake Marez's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Marez hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Midland pitcher Joe Chadburn shaking his head.

"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Shawn Pierre Rodriguez.
