Getting a good performance from right fielder Vince Taylor, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals defeated the Corpus Christi Hooks, 7-3. Taylor went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs for the Naturals. Northwest Arkansas reliever Arturo Valverde picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jordan Johnson was saddled with the loss. Northwest Arkansas is second in the North Division with a record of 28-23.

Taylor had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the top of the seventh, when he hit a solo home run. The Naturals went on to win.

Taylor told a Northwest Arkansas Herald reporter that he was "delighted" with the win.
