The Tulsa Drillers downed the Midland RockHounds, 8-7. The hitting star was second baseman Joe Ritzler. Ritzler went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Drillers. The win went to Montgomery Tucker in relief, making him now 2-1. Kevin Moore took the loss for Midland. Seth Kaderly notched his 12th save of the season.

The Drillers got a big hit from catcher Sam Mecca. In the bottom of the sixth, Mecca smacked a 2-run home run off Midland pitcher Kevin Moore. It was his 1st home run of the season. Suddenly, the Drillers were ahead, 7-6.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Mecca told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
