Win Lifts Drillers to 40-13

The Drillers grabbed a win, 2-1, at ONEOK Field, overcoming a fine effort from Frisco pitcher Carlos Romero. Romero went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win belongs to Pedro Flores in relief. His record improves to 5-2. Carlos Romero took the loss for Frisco. Alfredo Laboy recorded the save, his 2nd.
The Drillers got a big at-bat from first baseman Ricky Nieto. For the game, Nieto was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Tulsa a 2-1 lead.
