Naturals Get Extra-Inning, 6-5 Win
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals needed 10 innings to defeat the San Antonio Missions, 6-5, at Arvest Ballpark. Northwest Arkansas second baseman Mark Troupe had a superb performance. He was 5 for 5 with a home run, a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Northwest Arkansas reliever Nate Mendoza picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Billy Brewer was saddled with the loss. The victory gives the Naturals a record of 27-26.

The decisive blow was delivered by Luis de Leon in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Billy Brewer to win the game for Northwest Arkansas. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," de Leon said.
