Missions Lose By a Run at Northwest Arkansas, 5-4
Starting pitcher Josh Knapp pitched well enough to help the Northwest Arkansas Naturals beat the San Antonio Missions, 5-4. Knapp, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 5 walks. Vince Schmidt got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Dustin McCoy dealt the Missions a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Northwest Arkansas leading 4-2, McCoy, who is tied for 2nd in the TEX in hits with 63, hit a 1-2 sinker for a run-scoring single.

"This is a very good team," said McCoy. "We have the chance to do something special."

Northwest Arkansas is 30-23 and San Antonio, with the loss, 28-25.
