The Midland RockHounds besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Tulsa first baseman Blake Linden by beating the Drillers, 6-4, at Security Bank Ballpark. Linden was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Bobby Wallace earned the win to go to 2-3. He allowed 4 runs on 9 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts in 5 innings of work. Jim Unknown wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.

Josh Mutka had a big 2-run double for the RockHounds in the bottom of the third inning. With Midland leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Matt Dickey, who is tied for 6th in the TEX in strikeouts with 62, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the RockHounds ahead, 5-2.

Midland manager Jeremy Rodal was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.

With the win, Midland has a record of 24-31. Tulsa falls to 33-22.
