Mendez Helps RockHounds Beat Drillers, 6-2

The Midland RockHounds downed the Tulsa Drillers, 6-2, at Security Bank Ballpark. Felipe Mendez led the way, going 3-for-4 for Midland. Midland, now 22-34, holds down last place in the South Division.
Had Mendez not come through in the bottom of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Mendez hit a 2-run single. The RockHounds took the lead, 4-2, and never looked back.
"Where are all my critics now?" said Mendez. "Tell them they know where to find me."
