Behind a fine performance from Fernando Rivera, the Springfield Cardinals knocked off the Frisco RoughRiders in 10 innings, 6-5. Rivera was 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Cardinals. Springfield is now 31-25.

Carlos Rivera came through with a big-time hit for Springfield. The third baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
