Hooks Come Back Late to Clip RockHounds
The Corpus Christi Hooks, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at Whataburger Field.

Corpus Christi starter Christian Peraza pitched well against the Midland RockHounds at Whataburger Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-4. The winner was Rafik Woodley in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Sergio Contreraz took the loss.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Corpus Christi. That's when Antonio Rodriguez hit a solo home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Sergio Contreraz to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Christian did a heck of a job," said Corpus Christi manager Ka-fei Ong.

The Hooks are now 32-25, while the RockHounds fall to 21-36.
