Behind a solid performance from center fielder Mike Mattingly, the Midland RockHounds defeated the Frisco RoughRiders, 7-1. Mattingly went 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the RockHounds. Midland now sports a record of 31-27.

The fans who filled the stands at Security Bank Ballpark to watch the Texas League action seemed to enjoy the game.

"The key is not trying to do too much," said Mattingly.
