Marine Cruises in Win Over RockHounds
|
Corpus Christi Hooks pitcher Chris Marine was in top form, leading his team past the Midland RockHounds, 8-0. The loss makes Midland 22-36.
Marine subdued the Midland offense. The Corpus Christi right-hander allowed a mere 2 hits over 8.1 innings, while fanning 9. His season record goes to 1-0 with the win.
"Chris had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Corpus Christi manager Troy Nelson.
