Frisco turned a good effort from starter Jose Velazquez into a win over the Midland RockHounds at Security Bank Ballpark. The RoughRiders won the game, 3-2. Alex Villalobos earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 2-1. Butch Wheelock finished to wrap up his 6th save.

Conor Conley came through with a big-time hit for Frisco. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Conley. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."

The second-place RoughRiders bumped their record to 32-27.
