Missions Slap 6-1 Loss on Midland
|
Behind the hitting of Kevin Easter, the San Antonio Missions stopped the Midland RockHounds, 6-1. Easter went 2 for 4 with a home run for the Missions. San Antonio is now 32-29, Midland 22-39.
Ricardo Mendoza had a big 2-run triple for the Missions in the bottom of the fourth inning. With San Antonio leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Roger Tolson and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Missions ahead, 3-0.
"This game will humble you real quick," said Midland manager Jay Mizrahi.
