Northwest Arkansas Gets 6-4 Win Versus Tulsa in 10
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the Northwest Arkansas Naturals and Tulsa Drillers were able to complete their ballgame.
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals stopped the Tulsa Drillers, 6-4, at ONEOK Field. The Naturals got a big game from Brian Pyle, who went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Miguel Alfaro, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Brendon McOwen? The 26-year old center fielder McOwen stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put Northwest Arkansas up, 6-4. For the game, he was 2 for 2, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Pyle.
The Northwest Arkansas win streak is now 4 games.
