In a low-scoring tilt between the San Antonio Missions and the Midland RockHounds, Ross Pepper, who is tied for 4th in the TEX with a 8.9 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. The San Antonio right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Nate Cresswell was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-3. The losing pitcher was Ray Tschida. San Antonio is now 43-26.

Making an impact for the home team was Jesse Scott. In the bottom of the sixth, the 22-year old left fielder had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 2-0, Missions.
