Missions Absorb 4-1 Loss at Dr. Pepper Ballpark
|
The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Dr. Pepper Ballpark.
Frisco starter Mike Aguilar put a stranglehold on the San Antonio offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the RoughRiders to a 4-1 win. The winner was Aguilar. He threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Brian Rhea. Enrique Ramirez sewed up the save, his 6th.
Justin Mathieu hit a 2-run double off Brian Rhea in the bottom of the fourth, which put the RoughRiders in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Mathieu had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Frisco manager Carlos Mercado.
The win has Frisco at 27-46.
