Naturals Absorb 4-3 Home Loss
|
The Arkansas Travelers picked up a win at Arvest Ballpark, taking down the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 4-3. Starting pitcher Ruben Perez was a big reason why. The winner was Perez. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Frank Rivera. The Travelers raised their record to 31-43.
Arkansas relied on the bat of Matt Barnes to get the win. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the third inning to put the Travelers ahead, 3-0. For the game, Barnes had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.
"Ruben is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Arkansas manager Mario Serrano.
