Missions Win, 5-0, at Frisco

The San Antonio Missions and Frisco RoughRiders completed their game despite the rain.
San Antonio pitcher Brian Boon did his part in helping his team beat the Frisco RoughRiders, 5-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Boon, now 8-5, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing no runs.
The Missions got a big at-bat from designated hitter Hector Avila. For the game, Avila went 1-2 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave San Antonio a 2-0 lead.
"It was just a matter of executing," said San Antonio manager David Medina.
The defeat makes Frisco 27-48.
