Naturals Take Tight Tangle

Arvest Ballpark played host to some exciting baseball.
Northwest Arkansas right-hander Cory Garza helped his team edge Arkansas by the score of 3-2. Garza kept the opposing lineup in check. Northwest Arkansas reliever Michael Becerra picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mitch Jarrell absorbed the loss.
Hector Salazar was the walk-off hero for Northwest Arkansas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Naturals right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Arkansas manager Mario Serrano said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
Northwest Arkansas sits in third place in the North Division at 36-40.
