Frisco second baseman Pedro Colon had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Colon went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, even as Midland beat the RoughRiders, 5-3. Cody Fagan was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 14 save opportunities. The RockHounds saw their win-loss record go to 26-49. At the same time, the RoughRiders fell to 41-35.

The RockHounds got a big at-bat from right fielder Greg Horst. For the game, Horst was 1 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave Midland a 2-0 lead.

Horst attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
