The Arkansas Travelers and San Antonio Missions delighted fans at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium.

San Antonio pitcher Brian Boon did his part in helping his team defeat the Arkansas Travelers, 6-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Boon yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 9-5.

The Missions got a big at-bat from catcher Kevin Shamblin. For the game, Shamblin went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave San Antonio a 3-0 lead.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Boon told the San Antonio News.

The victory gives San Antonio a record of 53-28.
