Cardinals Lose at Home, 3-2, to San Antonio
The San Antonio Missions beat the Springfield Cardinals, 3-2. San Antonio pitcher and Los Angeles, California, native Joe Flores led the way. San Antonio reliever Aubrey Pettey got the win, raising his record to 2-5. Jonas Miranda was tagged with the loss. Jacob Magaw closed the door for San Antonio, picking up his 15th save of the year.

San Antonio used the timely hitting of Billy Schneider to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Missions on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Schneider told the San Antonio Herald.

San Antonio, now 45-36, holds down first place in the South Division.
