Missions Win, 5-3, Versus Tulsa
|
Jason Jackson was a major factor in the 5-3 San Antonio win over Tulsa. The Missions third baseman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. San Antonio reliever Jon Hodge was the winner. His record is now 3-3. Mike Uriostegui took the loss. San Antonio has a record of 55-29, placing them first in the South Division.
San Antonio used the timely hitting of Hector Avila to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Missions on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a good effort all around," said Jackson.
