The Midland RockHounds got a hard-earned win over the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 6-5, in 10 innings. Rico de la Rosa provided some offensive muscle for Midland. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The last-place RockHounds sport a record of 30-55.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 24-year old second baseman Lupe Trotman had a chance to be the hero. Northwest Arkansas pitcher Michael Becerra wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Trotman hit a sacrifice fly. The RockHounds had themselves a thrilling win.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said de la Rosa.
