A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Frisco RoughRiders and Midland RockHounds.

The Frisco RoughRiders overcame a good performance by Midland second baseman Mario Perales to knock off Midland, 6-3, at Security Bank Ballpark. Perales went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. The RoughRiders lead the South Division by 7 games.

Frisco used the timely hitting of Joe Perera to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the RoughRiders on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Perera called it "a solid win."
