The fans at Security Bank Ballpark witnessed quite a game.

The Midland RockHounds beat the Frisco RoughRiders, 7-6, in part because of center fielder Mike Mattingly. He was 3-4 with 3 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times. The win belonged to Justin Satern in relief. His record improves to 4-6. Mike DuFresne took the loss for Frisco.

Ron Nevils was the walk-off hero for Midland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the RockHounds third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Nevils, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."

The loss makes Frisco 41-51.
