The San Antonio Missions trumped the Frisco RoughRiders, 8-2, at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. San Antonio second baseman Jason Meertens was terrific. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs. The win was credited to Steve Golunski in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Tyree Threets took the loss. Erik Rice recorded his 2nd save for San Antonio.

San Antonio won the game in part because of Pablo Casales. The third baseman ripped a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Missions ahead, 3-0. For the game, Casales had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Frisco manager Carlos Mercado.
