The bats were silent much of the day at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. But 27-year old third baseman Andres Chiprez produced just enough offense to carry the RoughRiders past the San Antonio Missions, 3-2. Chiprez was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. Mike DuFresne earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 3-1. Frisco is now 42-52, San Antonio 56-39.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Chiprez hit a fastball from Allen Leslie for a solo home run. The RoughRiders, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Chiprez.
